The Collaborative Research Center Foundations of Workflows for Large-Scale Scientific Data Analysis (FONDA) develops new methods and Data Analysis Workflows to support scientists, who work with infrastructures to analyze very large datasets. Within FONDA the “Language and Communication in Biological and Artificial Systems” group of Prof. Fatma Deniz at TU Berlin will address the problem of effective exchange and reuse of parts of workflows in the domain of cognitive neuroscience and functional neuroimaging. The overall goal of this project to facilitate scientific reproducibility.
Tasks
- developing a data analysis workflow from data to result using a computational modeling framework of brain signals
- analyzing and extending existing neuroimaging workflows for data preprocessing and data modeling
- developing real-time recommendations for data preprocessing and modeling steps during Data Analysis Workflow execution, ensuring high data quality and reliable analysis results
Requirements
- Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in Computer Science or related fields (Engineering, Computational Neuroscience)
- very good programming skills (Python)
- extensive hands-on experience with Jupyter Notebooks
- good knowledge in fMRI data analysis
- ability to work in interdisciplinary projects
- good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in research
- Knowledge in agile project management and iterative software development methodologies
