Business economist (f/m/d) Market Operator Environmental and Energy Markets

Tasks

In one of the central functions of the exchange, you are in close contact with our external partners and internal colleagues in the different departments we work closely together with. In your role of a Market Operator in our team Environmental & Emerging Power Markets, you do ensure the daily operation of the different markets we are responsible for. You will provide support to trading participants about trading relevant questions when it comes to the functions of our tools used and the content of the products we offer. You will be able to develop your area of responsibility in line with our focus to build and operate secure and successful commodity markets worldwide. In addition to these tasks, you are the first contact for traders and determine daily settlement prices. You can contribute your expertise during initiatives as well as in projects and participate in developments in the field of our team Environmental & Emerging Power Markets. In doing so, you will become a valued partner for different stakeholders inside EEX Group as well as for external partner. After all, we value the exchange of ideas, being there for each other and encouraging each other to become better. We call it: the exchange mindset.

Requirements

  • Degree (Bachelor or Master) in economics or comparable course of study
  • Strong commitment to your tasks and the team
  • Mindset of ownership and willingness to act with personal responsibility for task and in projects
  • Flexibility paired with a high degree of reliability
  • Ability to work in a fast pacing and a international work environment
  • Very good language skills in English (spoken and written in business context)
